FREYR delivers a Nordic approach to one of the defining industrial challenges of our time: producing high-density, affordable battery cells at the scale and cost point that stationary energy storage, electric transportation, and marine applications demand.
Goodtech has been part of the FREYR story from the very beginning, supporting operations at Mo i Rana since inception. Bringing a greenfield battery facility to life at commercial scale is rarely straightforward, and this project was no exception. Supply chain constraints required coordinating deliveries from manufacturers across Asia, Italy, and England, demanding the kind of rigorous, multi-source project management that only comes from deep industrial experience.
Goodtech managed that complexity end-to-end: overseeing installation and testing, identifying and resolving production bottlenecks, and optimizing powder transport systems across multiple disciplines - keeping the project moving where others might have stalled.
Beyond project delivery, Goodtech has supported FREYR's drive for continuous improvement through targeted research and development contributions. This has included the design and delivery of a specialized mechanical rig for battery testing, as well as a sophisticated inspection rig equipped with advanced vision systems - enabling automated detection of production anomalies and driving measurable improvements in product quality.
Where FREYR pushes the boundaries of what battery production can be, Goodtech is there to engineer the tools that make it possible.
