Ineos Rafnes Infrastructure

Rafnes is a multi-business site housing INOVYN Chlorine & VCM-plants, INEOS O&P cracker and the Norward Emergency training centre. The site supplies INEOS LDPE plant at Rønningen site with Ethylene and INOVYN’s PVC-plant at Herøya industrial site in Porsgrunn with VCM, which is delivered through a pipeline in a tunnel under the Frierfjord.

Goodtech's contribution

Goodtech has completed several projects with Ineos due to our unique position near Herøya Industripark and our expertise in the process industry. Goodtech has in recent years re-engineered all electro and automation systems in the entire factory, including both hardware and software updates. Engineering and installation of new switch centrals, motor control centers (MCC's) and local instrument rooms (LIR). Re-routing and replacement of all cabling.

The client is now equipped with a state-of-the-art control system with a powerful electrical infrastructure.
